Sporting returns to training at the stadium without Luiz Phellype and Renan

Since the victory over Desportivo das Aves (2-0), on March 8, the ‘lions’ didn’t step on the stadium lawn, due to the suspension of work caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

Today, Rúben Amorim again counted on Anthony Walker, of the under-23s, to make up for the lack of Renan between the posts, on the last day of work before two days off, with the return to work scheduled for Tuesday, at 10: 00, at the Academy, in Alcochete

With 24 matches played in the I Liga, Sporting is fourth, with 42 points, four from Sporting de Braga, third, and already distant from the leader FC Porto (60) and the second, the champion Benfica (59).

After the declaration of a pandemic, on March 11, sports competitions of almost all modalities were played without public, postponed – Olympic Games Tokyo2020, Euro2020 and Copa America -, suspended, in the cases of national championships and international events, or even canceled .

The football championships in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Scotland were canceled, while other countries are preparing to return to the competition, with strong restrictions, as in England, Italy, Spain and Portugal, which has the restart of the I League scheduled for 03 June, after the German League resumed on May 16.
