Portugal accounts for 19 more deaths and 1,856 infection cases related to the covid-19 pandemic, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) said today.
According to the latest bulletin, released today, since the beginning of the pandemic Portugal has accounted for 99,911 confirmed cases and 2,181 deaths.
In surveillance, 54,851 contacts remain, 2,308 more than on Saturday.
The data released today reveal even more 1,081 recovered cases, totaling 59 thousand.
Active cases, on the other hand, amounted to 38,730, an increase of 756 compared to the previous day.
By region, the North has 39,449 confirmed cases, 1,168 more than on Saturday, and 959 deaths, plus nine.
Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, on the other hand, have 385 more confirmed cases for a total of 47,412 and 10 more dead, accounting for 881.
The Center registers 231 more cases for 8,214 and deaths remain unchanged at 277.
The Alentejo has 1,991 confirmed cases, that is, a progression of 35 cases compared to Saturday, and the deaths continue unchanged compared to Saturday (27).
The Algarve region has today reported 2,199 cases, 28 more than on Saturday, and deaths remained unchanged at 22.
Madeira remains without registering deaths and has eight more confirmed cases for 328, while the Azores added another case to the list of confirmed, adding up to 318, and the number of deaths has not changed, continuing at 15.
In turn, 1,086 people are in hospital, 72 more than on Saturday.
In intensive care units, 155 patients are hospitalized, seven more than the previous day.
Of the total confirmed cases, 54,427 are women and 45,484 men.
In Portugal, the new coronavirus has already killed 1,100 men and 1,081 women.
