Portimonense won today 1-0 at Famalicão stadium, in a match for the 29th round of the 1st Portuguese football league, and approached the maintenance zone on the main level.
A goal scored in the 17th minute by striker Ricardo Vaz Tê allowed the Algarve team to win their second consecutive victory in the championship – which happens for the first time this season – and reduce the distance for Tondela, the first team above the ‘red zone’.
Portimonense remained in the 17th and penultimate place, now with 27 points, two from Tondela (16th), who has less than one game played, while Famalicão remains in fifth, with 45, but can still be today overtaken by Rio Ave, if the villagers win in the reception to Sporting de Braga.
