Portuguese golfer Ricardo Santos climbed 16 places today in the Hero Open and occupies the 26th position of the tournament taking place in Birmingham, while Pedro Figueiredo was out of the cut after the second round.
Ricardo Santos handed a card with 69 strokes, three below the par of the field, when recording six 'birdies' (one stroke below the pair) and three' bogeys' (two above), ending the second day with an aggregate of 139 'shots ', five under par.
With this record, Santos climbed 16 positions in the standings, after the day before he finished in the 42nd place group.
The other Portuguese competitor, Pedro Figueiredo, was out of the cut and will miss the final two rounds. The Portuguese golfer said goodbye to Birmingham with a total of 147 strokes, three over the pair, after today registering two ‘birdies’, two ‘bogeys’ and a double ‘bogey’ (two strokes over the pair).
The Hero Open, which runs until Sunday, is led by Spaniard Sebastián García Rodríguez and Briton Sam Horsfield, both with a total of 131 shots, 13 under par.
