Covid-19: Mexico registers 190 dead and 3,059 infected in the last 24 hours

In Mexico, 7,179 victims of the disease have died so far.

According to Mexican authorities, there are 65,856 confirmed cases of infection since the start of the pandemic.

According to official data, this was the tenth consecutive day that Mexico crossed the barrier of two thousand new cases of contagion.

Mexico will remain in confinement until May 30, and is expected to begin phased reopening of some sectors from June 1.

Globally, according to a report by the AFP news agency, the covid-19 pandemic has already claimed more than 339,000 deaths and infected more than 5.2 million people in 196 countries and territories.

More than two million patients were considered cured.

In Portugal, 1,302 people died of the 30,471 confirmed as infected, and there are 7,705 cases recovered, according to the Directorate-General for Health.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late December in Wuhan, a city in central China.
