THE parliament today approved the proposal of the CDS-PP which suspends the return of school textbooks delivered to students for the 2019-2020 school year, in a vote that only had the PS's votes against.
“The obligation to return free schoolbooks delivered in the 2019-2020 academic year is suspended, in order to guarantee the conditions for the recovery of students' learning, to take place at the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year”, he says the proposal.
The measure was voted against by the PS and in favor by the other parties and is part of the set of amendments to the Supplementary State Budget proposal that today began to be discussed and voted on in the specialty.
The deputies also made possible another proposal of the CDS-PP in the scope of the reinforcement of palliative care that foresees that the Government presents until July 31 a schedule where “it identifies deadlines and amounts” for the accomplishment of this measure that appears in the State Budget for 2020 (OE2020).
The proposal had the votes against the PS and the favorable votes of the other parties.
