“Betty Boop For Ever”: The story of an icon, on RTP2

Before Betty Boop "was born", the focus was on another cartoon character, Minnie Mouse, the housewife mouse and Mickey mouse girlfriend. But in 1930, with the United States immersed in the Great Depression and the spoken films taking their first steps, the animation cinema, by Max Fleischer, sees the first human heroine, a true sex symbol, now 90 years old. Betty Boop has a woman's body, full of curves, short black hair, sensual mouth outlined in red, wears a low cut and low-cut black dress, shows off her legs and garter on the left. The pin-up image contrasts with the baby voice that, at the rhythm of jazz, sings “boop-oop-a-doop” - is a white woman singing the music of black people. She is sexy, but she is also free, fun, hardworking and independent. The cartoon is transgressive

Inside Hoda Kotb’s Surprise Love Story With Joel Schiffman

While it'd be hard to encapsulate all the traits that make Hoda Kotb so darn likable, we'd know what would top our list.  It's a little practice TODAY's beloved co-anchor squeezes in shortly after her 3 a.m. alarm rouses her awake. "First thing in the morning, I try to scribble in a journal real quick, literally for 10 minutes or less," she noted to Chico's Inside Chic in 2016. "For example, I had a meaningful conversation with a stranger on the street," she noted. "Or I'm running in the park and I'm about to stop, when an old guy throws his fists up and yells, 'Keep going, keep going.' You go, 'Oh my G

“Its Funny”: LA Clippers’ Doc Rivers Comments on Carmelo Anthony’s Situation With Blazers

Carmelo Anthony has had a long road to his current position. He was out of the league for almost a year and was passed on by almost every team in the league. However, an injury crisis within the Portland Trailblazers led to him being offered the role of a meaningful starter alongside Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. He has excelled in his NBA rebirth and is averaging 15.2 points and 6.3 rebounds this season. Melo is performing well in the bubble. He scored 21 points in their first two games and has been essential in their bubble surge for the playoffs. He has also lost weight in order to play the small forward role more efficiently. This is evidently working and Portland are 3-1 in the bubble. LA Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers spoke about Melo ahead of the Clipp...

“Cannot Do Anything” – Frustrated Charles Leclerc Vents Out Via Team Radio Following Qualifying Disappointment

Another qualifying session, another disappointing performance from Ferrari. Substandard performance after substandard performance seems to be the regular story for the season. Both the drivers struggled, with Sebastian Vettel failing to get out of Q2, while teammate Charles Leclerc only fared marginally better, ready to start the race in P8. With the car that the Scuderia have given their drivers for the season, it’s a miracle they even have two podiums to their name. Both courtesy of Leclerc. However, it doesn’t seem like the Monegasque will be adding another podium this Sunday at least. Despite having a car that looked in much better shape than Vettel’s, it wasn’t good enough for Leclerc. Additionally, the track temperatures and tire compounds further seemed to...
